JENNIFER LAKE; EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jenn is a graduate of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC), credentialed through the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and holds an Education (B.S.) degree, with a focus in family studies, from Messiah College. Early in her career, Jenn was a classroom teacher in the public school system. In her role as Coach, Jenn has been a trainer, event speaker, and workshop presenter for nearly twenty years. Jenn has been personally and/or professionally involved in the world of adoption for over 14 years. In 2016, Jenn began her professional career in Human Services where she has recruited, trained and supported foster and adoptive families on their journey to permanency and beyond.
Jenn and her husband, Matt, are passionate champions of orphan care. They live in Williamsport, PA with their three teenage children and mischievous golden retriever where Jenn serves alongside her husband in his role as Lead Pastor of First United Methodist Church. Their family was blessed with the miracle of adoption in 2004 when God joined them with one of their sons through a domestic infant placement. In addition to her family, Jenn loves coffee on her back porch with a good book, freedom and flexibility, hiking and wide-open spaces, time with friends, and recreating music video dances when no one is watching. Where’s the grown up Glee club when you need one?!
Heidi Mnkandhla; assistant director
Heidi is a loving wife and mother of 5 young children. Yes, her hands are full! She considers herself blessed and honored to be their mom. Two of Heidi’s children were adopted through foster care. She is a stay at home mom who is passionate about discipling her children in Christ through everyday life.
Along with mothering, which is already a full time job, Heidi is a pastors wife and serves alongside her husband in various ways at City Church in Williamsport, PA. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Liberty University in Virginia. Heidi is currently working part time as a guest teacher in our local schools. In the little spare time she has, Heidi enjoys reading or watching a movie. Her favorite snack is Oreos dipped in peanut butter! Don’t knock it till you try it! Heidi is passionate about fostering and adopting and is excited to see how God is going to use her for His Glory through orphan care and serving the community!
Miranda and her husband have been married for 12 years and have 4 biological children. While some days are crazy, she loves her role as a stay at home mom. She believes strongly in family and is currently blessed to be a surrogate. Miranda is due in April 2019 with a baby boy!
Her family has a passion for children in care. She and her husband became approved foster parents in 2017. To date, they have been blessed with welcoming 3 teenage children into their home through foster care; all of which have had varying degrees of medical needs. Miranda and her family are always anxiously awaiting the “GO!” from God to again welcome children back into their home. In her free time, Miranda loves to listen to audio books, hike and craft.
Stephanie is an accountant who has an affinity for adoption. She has worked in both the public and private sector of accounting and now has her own private practice located in Montoursville, PA. Stephanie works with individuals, churches, non-profit companies, small businesses, and medium size companies. She appreciates her work and loves helping people with their accounting issues.
Stephanie’s connection to adoption is very dear to she and her husband. They have 2 children, Gina (15) and Sean (13), who are both adopted from South Korea. They used a local adoption agency to start their family back in 2003 and this connection continues to be a rewarding experience for them. Stephanie has met dozens of families who have adopted or fostered. Stephanie welcomes the opportunity to work with both individuals and families who want to open their hearts to children in need through this position on the Dwell Board.
John Machak started in the financial industry in 2002 working in the investment products division at The Hartford. He became an independent financial planner in 2008 and founded The Wealth Factory in 2012.
John specializes in goals-based investing with a personalized approach. He earned his BS from Bloomsburg University and holds his MS in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Missouri. He holds registrations/licenses in Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 through Woodbury Financial Services; Life and Health
When not helping his clients, you’ll find John spending time with his wife, Laura, and their two sons Johnny and Paul. You may also find him on the tennis courts as an active tennis player in the central PA community and the head women’s tennis coach at Lock Haven University.
This year, Sue will celebrate 50 years of marriage with her husband John! They are the parents of four children and eight grandchildren. As a member of First United Methodist Church in Williamsport, PA, Sue is active in Transform, a local ministry mission, helps prepare and serve free meals to the community weekly, and helped organize the Code Blue Homeless Shelter.
A graduate of Penn State University, Sue holds a BS in Child Development and Family Relationships. She is a former teacher and business owner with her husband. Together, Sue and her husband founded the Williamsport District Volunteers in Ministry ministry where they have led over 27 mission trips throughout the United States, Haiti and Bahamas.
Sue is passionate about the welfare of all children and families.
Aden is a licensed pastor within the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He is passionate about seeing people draw closer to Christ through experiencing the presence and power of God. Most recently he filled the role of Associate Pastor at City Alliance Church but is currently exploring future ministry opportunities. He holds an MA in Biblical Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a BS in Music Education from Indiana University of PA. Prior to going into ministry, he taught music for 9 years in public schools in Pennsylvania and continues to have a love for all things musical.
Aden resides in Williamsport with his wife, Emily, and their two children, Quint (6) and Imogen (5); they are expecting their third child this coming June. Aden loves to read, garden and hike. In his free time you might just catch him making killer homemade bagels and pizza!
