Community Events
Our foster and adoptive fundraisers and community events bring people together to raise awareness, build community, and support children and families in the foster and adoption system. These events offer a fun and meaningful way to get involved—whether through charity walks, benefit dinners, auctions, or family-friendly festivals. All proceeds help provide essential resources, enrichment opportunities, and ongoing support for foster and adoptive families. Join us in making a lasting impact and celebrating the power of community.

2025 Family Table Gala
2025 Family Table Gala:
We are thrilled to announce Dwell’s Second Annual Fundraising Dinner on October 16th, 2025, at Bald Birds Brewing Company. This special evening is dedicated to raising awareness and support for vulnerable children, and the families who love them in Central, PA.
Dwell supports foster, adoptive & kinship children through programs designed to grow attachment, foster connection, and provide wrap-around support for families who walk this complex path. Our initiatives include the Hope Chest Foster Closet, Foster Care Package program, parent support groups, trauma-informed trainings, Made to Celebrate! and adoption assistance grants. Through these efforts, Dwell empowers the village to lift up our most vulnerable.
Your support of this event will help Dwell expand its services and continue advocating for children from hard places. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly about how you can champion this cause.
For more information about the event, please visit our website. If you have any questions regarding this event or Dwell's programs, intentions, and impact, please reach out via email to jenn@dwellorphancare.org.
Together, we are the village working to bring hope and healing to vulnerable children, and the families who love them. We hope you will join us for this impactful evening. LEARN MORE about sponsoring.

Community Tap
Community Tap in May 2025:
Through our partnership with Alabaster Coffee, Bullfrog Brewery, & Kitchen Repose, every cup of Community Tap Coffee, every pint of Community Tap Beer, and every purchase of a Community Tap Smoothie = a donation to Dwell — supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families in our community. Help us POUR IT FORWARD by visiting one or ALL of these small businesses during the month of May and help us raise awareness of issues related to foster care and acknowledge the parents, family members, and caregivers who step into those roles.
